Medical malpractice law governs doctors or other medical professionals to prevent them from treating patients improperly or with negligence which results in injury or death. On a broad scope, legitimate medical malpractice is simply a claim that is brought against a medical or healthcare professional due to a failure to adhere to the applicable standard of care.
Medical malpractice may be due to the unreasonable delay in treatment of a diagnosed medical condition; failure to provide appropriate treatment for a specific medical condition; or failure to properly diagnose or the misdiagnosis of a medical condition. The laws that govern medical malpractice often differ from state to state. This means that the stipulations regarding lawsuits will also differ depending on individual state laws. However, the broad definition of medical malpractice is universal meaning that damages can only be recovered if the patient incurs injury or death. If the doctor makes a mistake but the patient sustains no harm, there are no grounds for a lawsuit and no damages can be recovered.
Yet another segment of medical malpractice law has to do with the subject of informed consent. A patient must give informed consent to a medical procedure in order to have it done. This means that he or she knows all of the dangers and benefits of the procedure, and consents to any risks taken. When the informed consent is not properly obtained, the doctor can be said to have performed medical malpractice even if the patient is not actually harmed by the procedure.
In addition, the changing environment of medical care makes malpractice law ever more important. Medicine has become a business of profit, and to this end, physicians are under greater and greater pressure to make fast diagnoses and to be as efficient as possible. This opens the door for physician error.
Yet another problem with this new environment is that doctors and patients spend increasingly little time together, so that oftentimes, simply taking a patient history that is detailed enough to diagnose the problem is increasingly difficult. This, too, increases the chance for misdiagnosis or missing important symptoms. This makes medical malpractice law take an even greater role in improving both patient care and protecting doctors who have been erroneously sued.
In addition, some doctors are now countersuing patients whom they feel have filed frivolous or otherwise unfounded lawsuits. Although the actual percentage is unknown, some estimate that as many as 25 to 50% of lawsuits filed and which are later determined to be frivolous are still paid. This is because many insurance companies choose to settle claims instead of pursuing them in court, since this is actually cheaper for them to do.
It is very important that doctors carry medical malpractice insurance in order to protect themselves from lawsuits, regardless of whether the suit is valid or not. Even the most vigilant of doctors can have medical malpractice claims filed against them resulting in lawsuits. Doctors who have been sued should immediately contact their insurance company. They have an arsenal of resources to help fight medical malpractice lawsuits should they be found to be invalid.
There is some controversy surrounding medical malpractice. Some allege that it is ineffective because patients who have been injured by malpractice as well as physicians who are innocent of the claims can be victimized. It is widely regarded by experts that a new system that is more efficient and fair should be put in place as opposed to the current scenario of attorneys on both sides battling it out and all profiting regardless of the outcome. Both the patient's and the doctor's rights need to be taking into consideration and it should be a priority. The current system simply does not work. With one attorney vying against another with the simple goal to "win," the focus is shifted from what is fair and this is often cited as the problem with the medical malpractice system. Perhaps it is time for a change.

Rain Dancing and The Law of Attraction
by Anisa
Why have millions of rain dances been performed across all continents and all cultures? Because they work! Rain dance to make the Law of Attraction work for you!
Wikipedia's definition of a Rain Dance:
"A rain dance is a ceremonial dance that is performed in order to invoke rain and to ensure the protection of the harvest.
Rain dances can be found in many cultures, from Ancient Egypt to certain Native American tribes. They could still be found in the 20th century Balkans , in a ritual known as Paparuda (Romanian) or Perperuna (Slavic). The traditional Native American Cherokee tribe performed rain dances to both induce precipitation from clouds as well as cleanse evil spirits [1] . Cherokee legend says that the summoned rain contains the spirits of dead Chiefs who upon awakening from the clouds battle evil spirits in the transitional plane between our reality and the spirit world [2] . It was also believed that particularly elaborate and ornamental rain dances could inspire the participants as well as audience to partake in unusual acts of spiritual worship [3]."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rain_dance
Our definition:
The Conscious Creation Rain Dance: a ceremonial party of one or more of dancing, celebrating and creating using the power of the Law of Attraction and applying the principles of mind over matter.
In a ceremonial rain dance, the dancers do not pray for rain; they don't beg, plead, or hope that rain will arrive soon. These acts (praying, begging, pleading, and hoping) although more positive than the acknowledgement of 'the lack of rain' and therefore helpful, do not have the vibrational power or the magnetic pull the participants are intending to harness.
The power of the rain dance lies in the intensity and the passion with which the dancers throw their entire being into the party. In addition to preparing their face and body with the proper 'rain dance' makeup and costume, they hop, jump, skip, bounce, dance, juggle snakes, chant, scream, shout, yell and immerse their entire beings into playing in the rain. This is why I say, "They are not praying for rain, they are already playing in the rain!"
The rain dance invokes rain because it invokes the power of the Law of Attraction vibrantly, powerfully, passionately, vigorously, fervently, and with conviction.
What would happen to your conscious creation aptitude, if you were to do your own version of a rain dance for the 'things' you want to manifest in your life?
I have discovered that most of us (myself included) are lazy and non-committal when it comes to really 'playing in the rain' in order to manifest. We say our affirmations, do our 17 seconds to one minutes worth of visualization, maybe even 3 minutes a day on EFT and then we go about our 'business' hoping that the prosperity we really want will arrive. Indeed, it will. Even the above exercises are enough to invoke the law of attraction and create what we want.
However, most of us, at one point or another want more and want it faster! This is where your rain dance comes in! The rain dance pulls forth the power of conviction and certainty. Every conscious creator that wants to manifest something quickly must embrace a solid sense of certainty if they are to achieve rapid manifestation.
It's the power of absolute certainty and conviction that creates rapid manifestations.
Another example of how the power of conviction, passion, and the physical invocation of certainty creates a miraculous experience is known by firewalkers. If you are a fellow firewalker, then you already know how to do your rain dance. Simply, use the same passion raising dancing, clapping, and celebrating that you would use to walk that fire!
If you are not a firewalker (yet), then let me explain. One of my teachers, Dorothea Cangelosi, is a well-respected healer, intuitive, and spiritual icon in the Houston and greater spiritual community. What I love most about her is that she's real, approachable, accessible and still congruent. She inspires me to reach beyond because of her heightened spiritual awareness and powers and yet she can still throw back a margarita, tell a dirty joke or curse a 'jerk' when she feels so inspired. Then, she can turn right around and perform a spirit-invoking crystal bowl meditation that transports her followers to new realms of spiritual evolution and even out of body experiences!
A couple of years ago, I went to a New Year's Eve fire-walk that Dorothea was leading. We gathered the wood and lit the fire and enjoyed meaningful but ordinary conversations as the ceremony began. The coals from the fire burned red as we began to dance, chant, and summon the courage and conviction to walk the fire. The few reluctant guests that had no intention of walking the fire, watched with incredulous smirks on their brow as the rest of us began our passionate dancing.
Dorothea was as calm and blase about the entire fire as she would be if she were making scrambled eggs. To watch her, one would be convinced that the fire was bogus; it's some type of optical illusion! There must be some type of special wood embers that although glowing red and smoking profusely, didn't take on the heat from the flame.
Dorothea clapped and made the 'fire fairies' dance and walked the fire like a little girl jumping in a new pool. Dorothea embodied the conviction and therefore, didn't require the same level of belief acceleration that was essential for the rest of us.
For the non-Dorothea's in the group, we had to create the courage and belief before walking barefoot across those coals. I danced and worked myself up into a state of passionate conviction that the fire was cold! Then, I ran across the fire, at first very, very fast because there was still a part of me that was fearful. Then, as I continued to perform my trance-like dance I increased my belief that the fire was cold and I began to walk and even bounce and stroll across the coals because I knew that the fire was cold. I knew that my body was divinely protected, and that the entire experience was safe and ultimately empowering.
It was a cold fire because I invoked a passionate belief that it was so!
You too can invoke the power of conviction and certainty in order to manifest with warp speed.
You can do a rain dance for anything you want to create. If you want to attract your ideal mate, then Rain Dance it! If you want to create prosperity, Rain Dance it! If you want to create your life purpose, Rain Dance it! If you want health and wholeness, Rain Dance it!
You know what this looks and feels like already. Trust yourself, be brave, stand-up and clap, dance, celebrate, sing, and throw a personal creation party by playing in the rain (your dreams) now! If you feel silly, then you're on the right track. You can throw your creation rain dance party by yourself or with a few brave friends. It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that you are sending out a very loud, clear, vibrant, convincing signal to the Universe that you already HAVE all that you desire now and you are gratefully celebrating that Truth!

The Holocaust And Law Of Attraction
By: Seth Manne
This topic is used by people who don't believe in Law of Attraction to try to prove their case. They say "if Law of Attraction is real, did 6,000,000 Jews attract their own death in the holocaust?"
It sounds like a great argument. All LOA gurus don't like to deal with this argument. Even my own favorite author who is a recognized leader in the LOA movement has responded to this question at her seminars by saying to the questioner who asked about the Holocaust..."why do you choose to ask questions about such negative scenarios which in turn, keeps you focused on resistance in relation to your vibration?". Now I am paraphrasing what she said but I have definitely caught the flavor of her response and IT IS NOT AN ANSWER.
So where to start to give even a glimpse of a proper answer. I must lay some foundational ground rule assumptions. This all can be looked at as no more than my opinion. I 'am not saying that this some written in stone answer. It can also be looked at as perspectives of "being'. However, I assure you it is not contrived.
Do adversaries of LOA believe that a human being is just a higher animal form destined to die into nothingness? Do they believe that the "being" that is human has any special powers or is omniscient and omnipotent? In order to understand my explanation, one would have to first believe in this foundational assumption... that "beings" who are human ARE endowed with powers that are omniscient and omnipotent. That foundational belief can be quite a stretch for those who argue against LOA.
O.K. so now, assuming, we have a very "Godlike" being existing in a physical body. We of course must assume that the "being" has NO LIMITATIONS while the physical body IS LIMITED to physical laws.
More questions...Do you believe that you, as a human "being", can manifest any circumstances at all in your own life? Elsewhere, your life has been represented as your "canvas". How others view your life is what they are seeing and surmising from the canvas that you have created and are demonstrating.
Now we must entertain areas that become even more questionable to many and those are areas such as mass manifestations, the mass mind, the sub conscious, the super conscious and the choices to which any "being" has access. The choices a being has, are infinite. A human "being" is by no means a simple creature.
A person's life can be looked at as that individuals "demonstration" or as stated ...his or her canvas. The final stroke upon that canvas is the individuals type of departure or "death OF the physical". There is no death for the "being".
We have expressions like "the good die young" to quell our sadness when we see young people die in a car accident or in battle or die in some atrocious way. We question the meaning of seemingly senseless deaths, senseless murders, senseless illnesses, senseless disabilities or deformities that babies carry at birth. It is all not senseless. These ARE demonstrations. Could "beings" choose these horrific demonstrations you ask?
Some believe these conditions are inflicted upon the individuals by fate, luck, destiny or God. To believe that is to believe that your life is controlled by outside forces. To understand my answer to this question you would have to believe in manifestation, mass manifestation, freewill, and the omnipotent power of a "being" that is human. You would need an understanding of the subconscious, super conscious, and the mystical magic of this powerful being's choices of demonstration.
Again this sounds like quite a stretch for the average "human being". Can your imagination make these "stretches?" The opinion of one's own self can be high or low or anywhere in between. I, simply, choose ...extremely high.
For some individual being to make the choice that his personal demonstration will contain such horrific or atrocious "qualities" is unfathomable for most people. They "believe" that no individual being would choose such a seemingly ugly demonstration of life and death.
Let's face it, most people don't believe we choose our type of death or control the time of our death because they do not understand the "being". They have no connection with their super consciousness and they look at life from quite different perspectives than those that are mentioned here.
Even if you are going along with me purely for the sake of your momentary entertainment, I realize your mind may be spinning and flooded with questions and counter arguments. You might ask and state simultaneously, "this is absurd, no one would choose such horrible demonstrations even if they could". My response to that is...Who are you to say what the perspectives of an individual omnipotent being would be and what reasons that being might have for making choices that you as a "human" can not fathom. Now we are coming to the point.
There is a difference between the physical human and the all knowing "being". That understanding can take humans many lifetimes of physical experience to achieve. That understanding is contained by the "being" before and after its physical birth and death. It is an awareness quest that the "human" embarks upon. It has been called enlightenment.
As humans, many of us see death as a tumultuous event. As beings we see death as no big deal. As beings we see death as being no more tumultuous than going to sleep at night and waking up in the morning. To the being it is not only some simple, matter of fact, transition, but it is a welcome transition because the being knows that it returns to what has been called source or the non physical. That place is adored by the being and feared by the human. I am speaking of most humans and all beings.
So now, with all this foundational belief information....I say these mass manifestations in situations like the Holocaust do not put the "victims" at fault. Other evil players, like Hitler, certainly played their part in creating and bringing these events to fruition. Some people with a distorted view of karmic retribution might say that the evil players will reincarnate for eternal lifetimes as a fly in stool. I am not going to get into explanations of karmic lifetimes but I will say that justice does prevail especially in the alternate realms. That justice has been described elsewhere as self inflicted...the most appropriate of all justice.
To the beings who participated, their choices were holy, dignified and superior choices. They are, many times, the choices that only the greatest beings and spirits could make and they often appear as victimization.
These demonstrations are a way of going to war against atrocity and teaching by example for generations to come. These demonstrations expose the perpetrators and defeat them in a way that no war could ever do. And mostly these demonstrations are chosen on a super conscious level totally unbeknown to the human personality. Only the being knows the growth and expansion that it creates through these scenarios. Only the being knows why it chose to be the one to participate, possibly for reasons relating to its own character and journey.
Step outside the "human" box for a few seconds and sense your own omnipotence. At that moment you may sense the magnificence of other beings that have gone before you, are here now and are yet to come.
Any one who has gone into battle in war could have chosen not to do so. There are a multitude of options available to not experience that. Any one who, as they say, fought the hard fight or took the higher road was definitely not taking the easy way or path of least resistance. These questions addressed here are a factor of perceptions. You must look deep to find answers that strictly relate to the "being" and not the human. When you look deep, you will be amazed at the deceptions that the human creates. You will be amazed at how the being operates in these seemingly mystical and omnipotent ways even while in a physical body.
I want to say to my favorite author and LOA expert, that you can not brush these historical incidents under the rug. You can not tell people "oh don't ask that question and don't think such negative and resistant thoughts". You are not giving answers that way. You are just avoiding the question. At times you too prefer the path of least resistance. You worry sometimes that addressing certain issues will be bad press for you. I say practice what you mostly preach.

Law Of Attraction: Attract Whatever You Want Into Your Life
By: Evgheni Cold
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear attract? It is really great when you are able to attract what you like into your life. This is not a dream, it is very much possible to do so. Universal Law of Attraction is as active as the law of Gravity. You just have to become aware and learn a few basic rules about it.
The Law of Attraction has been expressed in various manners. It is beyond doubt that the law of attraction has been active all through. You must have definitely come across following alternate ways of expressing this law:
1. As you sow, so shall you reap.
2. What you put is what you receive.
3. Like attracts like. The main principle of the Law of Attraction.
4. Law of Supply and Demand.
5. What comes around goes around.
6. Bible- “ As a man think in his hear, so is he.”
7. Law of Compensation – name, given by Emerson.
“What you transmit around in the form of your thoughts, feelings, mental pictures and words, is what you attract into your life”. This is how e Ponder, author of Dynamic Law of Prosperity defined the Law of Attraction.
It is a fact that like attracts like. So how is the relevant to you?. When you are focused on what you WANT you will definitely attract it. On the other side, if you are focused on what you DON’T WANT, you attract it too! Each one of us has characteristic of magnet. We attract what we focus on irrespective of whether we need it or not. Also like a magnifying glass, what we focus on gets larger and comes even more quickly into our life.
I am sure you must have experienced a situation where you were very focused on accomplishing something. It was the time you were passionate and you were channelising every bit of your energy into achieving it. No force could deter you from accomplishing it. You believed that you deserved and never had a doubt if it was for you. You planned it out and came out with a thumping victory.
Many of us also go through a time when we need something pretty badly, but do not get it. For instance, take money. You wish to have a steady flow of income, but you are not able to. What you think at this time is not about how to create it but other issues like paying bills, money being evil or you just feel that you cant get a steady source of income. The focal point at this point of time should be how to create money, but you do exactly opposite – focus on lack of money. Obviously, this will not help you create it.
So as per the law of attraction, if you focus on negative aspects, things which you don’t have, you will only create more scarcity of the same. If you instead shift your focus to what you have, you will increase it. Many a times we say NO to many things, wish a lot of things to not happen to us, this makes you focus on the thing and it gets attracted. This is the unique characteristic of Law of Attraction. Whether you wishing for it or not wishing for it is not the issue there. The subject matter of what you wanting or not wanting transmits in the form of waves and ultimately ends up in our life. So be careful when you refuse or do not wish anything.
The good thing to do is to focus on good things and what you want. You should realize that what you want radiate and transmit in the form of mental waves is what you end up attracting into your life. There is nothing more crucial than feeling good. How you feel and where you focus on, is what you will surely attract. This is a fact and you have to accept it.
The universe is abundant. There is no dearth, its only our view of it. There is always ample amount of what you ask and you should strive for it. It is everybody’s right to be wealthy and enjoy equally at all levels. There is nothing that you cannot be in this world. You have to build this kind of confidence and mindset into yourself.
Now is the time to use the Law of Attraction to create things that we need. You can have all that you desire in life. You have to build the confidence in yourself that you can achieve anything in life. Be very cautious as to what you think and feel. Thoughts and feelings which make you feel good will help you in a great way in attracting what you want in your life.
