Condensed Statement

Employment law covers all areas of the employer/employee relationship except the negotiation process, which is covered by Labor law and collective bargaining. It is a broad concept encompassing all areas of employment as well as the constituting rights of both employer and employees.

In the United States, employment law is a composed of diverged collection of state and federal laws. To be added on the list are the administrative regulations and judicial decisions, which practically becomes part of the spectrum of our labor laws.

The federal law and state law are the primary sources of our employment laws. Both sets of laws have their own participation in regulating the rights of workers and employers. The federal law sets the standards that govern worker’s rights in general, while state laws provide expansive right in relation to labor rights.

However, in various occasions, both laws may overlap in reference to their applications. At most, federal laws would preempt most states statutes that would seem to contradict to the general precepts set by the federal law. In other words, it overrides any attempt by state statute that would oppose to the standards.

As a final note, both sets of laws however, protect the rights of labor and employees respecting the topical entries of:

• Collective bargaining
• Employment discrimination and harassment
• Workplace safety
• Worker’s compensation
• Labor standards
• Labor relations
• And other labor and employment areas

Dispute settlement

Labor dispute settlement is common event in employment law field. Several complaint and grievances have been lodged by employees as well as employers respecting various aspects of our employment laws.

Just as the constitutive labor rights are categorized, labor disputes are also classified based on their specific area of coverage. There are specialized administrative agencies that have been created to address specific issues respecting labor disputes.

Disputes arising from racial discrimination, sexual harassments, workers compensations, workers termination, and violations of labor standards, collective bargaining and other areas of employment laws should be lodged in the proper body or tribunal for adjudication.

Most disputes, however, may be tried and brought to the proper judicial tribunal when the conflict appeared to be irreconcilable or the issues involved therein are of constitutional importance that needed to be finally resolved by the courts.

The Law Of "as Above - So Below" Is Alive And Well In Our Universe!

To fully understand the Law of As Above So Below, we need to develop a deeper and more complete understanding of who we are. And to know fully who we are, we need to understand what is happening around us, as well as our environment and the world around us. By having a thorough understanding of these areas in our lives we can begin to analyse and more precisely define the areas that need correcting.

The understanding of our own personal needs and inner desires will allow us to wipe out turmoil in our life and therefore we can truly experience harmony and peace with ourselves, our spirit (God) and all life.

You can liken the law of as above so below to the number 8, which is a key number for us to learn about this particular universal law. If you turn the number eight on it's side you'll notice that it represents the sign of infinity... No beginning and no end, which is equal to eternity, spirit, or even the God force that is in everything.

So as we stand the infinity sign (eight on it's side) back on it's end so that it represents the number eight as we know it, you could liken the top circle to that of God, the universe or all that is. And the bottom circle will be representative of all living entities on this physical plane and all that is within it, whether they're here on the earth plane or spiritual world.

The law of as above so below in its simplest explanation could really be defined as what is in spirit is also in form, what is internal is also external. Hence the term within every problem we face, within us lays it's solution, no matter how big the problem might be.

The invisible form of God that is in everything is pure love, unconditional and beautiful, it's always here ready for us to channel as human beings, and is ideally the essence of the law of as above so below.

Usually our limited thoughts are what holds us back in our human (manifested) form, but we must remember that we created ourselves, we chose the body we live in and were born into for this human experience on the earth plane.

Once we realize that we were formed in absolute perfection, which is in the image of the source energy (God), and there is only one God, one spirit and this spirit interweaves itself within all of us as unconditional love. This force is willing to help us help ourselves and guide ourselves to our highest good, all we need to do is connect with this source, but unfortunately, most humans have forgotten their real, authentic selves.

How do we connect with our purest "God" form?

Through a quiet mind we connect and communicate with the source know as God (or Universal Energy). It is through this age old practice that we go directly to our God force, which is all wisdom, knowledge, love and truth and bypasses directly past that of the outside world (or what we'd refer to as, "As Below") and connect to the all-seeing, all-powerful, God force (or what we'd refer to as, "As Above"). In essence, meditation is a time when our earth form experiences our spirit form, or God our source.

Please don't get meditation confused with prayer or religion, this is completely different. In meditation we experience and connect back to our source and allow our God force to speak to us in the form of feelings, thoughts, and states of mind. And when we pray we actually speak to God, so these two practices are the reverse of each other. In prayer we ask of God and put our thought in the form of "intent" out there to our source energy, and in meditation we receive the answers to our prayers.

If we're open to being quite in our minds and channeling our thoughts into a stillness, even amidst the activity of day, we'll be tapping into God's energy into our active being all day and be able to receive it easier. Ultimately we'll become one with the law of as above so below.

In summing up on the law of as above so below, if you can go through this little daily exercise of consciousness, you'll begin to notice many "co-incidences" appearing in your life as you become more aware.

Imagine a beam of light coming from your naval and connecting up through the heavens to the God force itself, this is pure thought and the energy that you create everything from. Then expand this thought even further so that not only does this bright cord of light connect to the heavens, but to that of every other living being on earth (including animals and other humans).

If we were to look at this in a diagram, we'd realize that we are all connected to the one source and are indeed the one source. Our bodily forms are the only thing that separates us from each other and God, and you'll notice that the more separate we insist on being from ourselves, each other and God is where the source of all conflicts come from for us and others.

The lesson here is this, become more aware of our connection to each other and our source energy and work at being at one with that energy, in the form of pure unconditional love and from there by being the love and peace we want to create, we'll indeed live the law of as above so below.

The Essence of Law

By : Chad Wiley
Law defined by the Webster dictionary is a 'binding custom or practice of a community'. It is 'a rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority'. Each land has its own law but the sole purpose of law is to integrate people and ensure a cohesive bond amongst different strata of the society. Breaking law, thus, is synonymous to threatening the integrity of the land.

From the ages of lawless lands of jungle where nature ruled man's lives to the modern-day courts – the journey of law, irrespective of its land of practice, is as rich and enduring as the journey of the mankind. Just as mankind is still growing, progressing and breaking new boundaries, the law that binds the mankind is also evolving continuously. Old rules are challenged; new laws are born ensuring the well-being of the land and the people who live off and on it.

The concept of law has been debated for ages – from the 1500s amongst the greats like Francis Bacon, Voltaire, Rousseau, Montesquieu to David Hue to the modern day judges and lawyers, law has been argued and reargued again and again so that all points of time – it is the victory of the mankind, what is good and just and not the victory of an individual. This law may vary from land to land but the basic human sense of justice and truth prevails irrespective of geographical boundaries. So in essence laws of all lands are more or less similar.

Law is symbolized by the blind-folded lady – the reason being law does not see who is in front of it, but practices it equally for all. Law can be categorized under many categories – Civil law for example laws related to land, property, families and societies, Constitutional law related to the constitution of the land, Criminal laws involving the laws to curb the criminal activities in the society, Human Rights, Environment, Administrative law, International law and so on and so forth. Based on the country, the judiciary system of law differs, the structure and the power assigned to the judiciary system also varies accordingly. In countries ruled by military power or under some monarchies, often the judiciary lies with the governing power and is not considered as an independent body as in many democracies.

Practicing law is very interesting. The best part of practicing law is that one can pick up law at any point of their lives. Unlike most professions, where you need to start very young, law gives you the flexibility to study and practice law at a later stage in life as well. The practicing lawyers generally specialize in one of the categories of law. How one practices law and how the law is upheld in a society depends upon people's values of ethics and moral. The more law-abiding the citizens are, the better are the chances of prosperity for that land. However as St. Augustine had famously said 'An unjust law is not a law at all', while a law-abiding citizen must follow the laws of the land, he/she must also stand against the law that is unjust and immoral.
